Limited to 6 riders. Auditing available.
If riding at home and the warm up arena seem flawless, but the moment the bell rings to enter the arena for a test everything seems to be moving in slow motion as the tension slowly increases for the horse and rider, then this clinic is going to be exactly what is needed.
Learn to transcend “show nerves”, center yourself, and access your skills when you go into the show ring. Achieve your Peak Performance breakthrough with a revolutionary, body-based technique that calms the mind and body. Taught by Advanced Emotional Freedom Techniques practitioner and dressage competitor Ange Finn, this simple technique can take you from scared to serene in minutes. This technique, also called Tapping, helps your nervous system reprogram limiting beliefs and past adverse experiences to take your riding to the next level. This is a technique used and taught by top dressage coach and trainer Jane Savoie, as well as elite athletes in many high-intensity sports.
Our day will begin with an unmounted group session to go over techniques, then we’ll proceed to a group lesson taught by both Ange and Crystal Forsell (FEI competitor and instructor), where participants will practice Ange’s teachings on their horse and work through some test riding tips and maintaining relaxation of their horse with Crystal.
After lunch everyone will have an opportunity to apply all that they have learned and ride a test of their choice. Riders will get a brief feedback from Crystal and Ange and the chance to re-ride portions of the test.
This is an incredible opportunity for riders to grow and up their game in any situation!
Lunch will be provided, stabling is available to allow your horse to safely relax during unmounted sessions!
