SPECIALIZING IN:
Eventing is the triathlon of equestrian sports, combining the grace and elegance of dressage, the speed and boldness of cross country, and the precision and agility of show jumping. Local events in north Texas have divisions suitable for beginners (with walk-trot dressage tests and jumps as low as 12″) up to those divisions suitable for professionals or experienced amateurs (with intricate dressage tests, jumps to 4′, and speeds to 550 meters per minute). Horses of all breeds, sizes & ages participate in eventing, from 12 hand grade ponies to 17 hand thoroughbreds. Riders of all ages and experience levels enjoy the sport, from beginners to seasoned “master” amateur and professional adults.
NTEA’s primary mission is to educate the community about eventing, help amateur riders improve their skills and achieve their goals as eventers, and grow the sport in north Texas at the grass roots level. NTEA is governed by a board of directors, elected annually by the membership, and is a local affiliate of The United States Eventing Association (USEA), the national governing body for our sport.
Each year NTEA sponsors and/or organizes educational programs, demonstrations, schooling days, clinics, speakers and/or workshops as well as a year-end awards banquet.
