SPECIALIZING IN:
The Gallop Foundation is a new non-profit organization in College Station that will use equine assisted learning and therapy to help a range of patients. These are our programs:
Riding for Hope- This program will utilize hippotherapy to serve a range of mentally and physically disabled patients. We are currently looks for volunteers to help walk beside the horse and support the patient (sidewalker) and people to lead the horse (leader) during the therapy sessions. Our patients will come from Brazos Valley Rehab Center, a therapy center in Bryan. Our physical, occupational, and speech therapists are also from Brazos Valley Rehab Center. We are also providing therapeutic riding lessons taught by our PATH certified instructor Justine Berman.
RIDE- The RIDE program will target under-served elementary/middle school children and teach them to ride in an after school program. We are looking for volunteers to instruct riding lessons, prepare horses, and tutor the children.
